Now you can show your love for 3 of your favorite retro icons. Judy Kaufman is an illustrator based in Barcelona, who (as stated in her own words) likes to draw animals, people, houses, cars, trees, and everything repeatedly. Her illustrations are sweet, clean, and wonderfully childlike. Right now you can purchase your choice of 3 out of 9 prints of famous artists for $68 (normally they are $25 each). Each print includes a quote from the famous icon and is hand signed by Kaufman. Our picks include: Andy Warhol, Frida Kahlo, and David Bowie.
When the subject of bottle cap art or shabby antique-y weddings pop up, we cringe. There are enough bottle cap earrings on Etsy to fill several landfills. And vintage props like typewriters and rustic chalkboards are so over done at pseudo-quaint weddings that we believe moving forward, all future nuptials need to adopt a space-age theme
Well don't put on your moon boots yet! Thankfully we came across a few things online that redeemed bottle cap art and the idea of a vintage inspired wedding. First up is a post that popped up last month on the accessory site, Fossil ( of all places..who knew they posted pretty nifty diy projects?). The Fossil design team reused vintage bottle caps to construct a piece of folksy Americana wall art. The final result has inspired me to start socking away soda caps.
Yuppers wedding season is here. If you are on your way to becoming a bride, listen up. You only need one something old at your nuptials and this is it; the vintage brooch bridal bouquet made by Modulation Jewelry. Each arrangement is one of a kind and even comes with a keepsake box. Just tell the bridesmaids to spread the word at the reception that you will not be tossing this pretty bouquet.
Yuppers, it's Monday, time for a heaping serving of vintage DIY and repurposed awesomeness. We base our choices for our weekly round up on the following: 1) all projects need to repurpose or upcycle a vintage item and 2) there is a slim to none chance that anything we select would be confused with a hand-crapped item on Regretsy.
First up is one suitcase with two DIY ideas. Do you prefer the suitcase side table (left) or the suitcase bathroom organizer (below)? You can post your thoughts and find steps on how to create either project here.
